Sundays With Inverclyde Vineyard

FOR EASTER 2024 PLANS CLICK HERE

We meet for our Sunday morning services at the Old West Kirk, in the Pirrie Hall, next to the main church building which is on the Greenock Esplanade.

Address: Old West Kirk, Campbell Street, Greenock Esplanade, PA16 7SD.

Our Sunday mornings start with tea and coffee from 10.15am before our service begins at 10.30am.

We spend time singing some contemporary worship songs with a band and words on the screen. During our time together we preach a relevant talk from the Bible and we also have Vineyard Kids running for primary aged children during the service in a separate room. Occasionally the children remain in the main hall during the service and we are delighted to provide some activities at the back for them to enjoy during the service, including crafts and a video to watch with headphones.

Our services typically last between 1 hour- 1h 15 mins and are informal, welcoming and fun! You don’t need to dress up to come to church - just come in whatever feels comfortable. We can’t wait to meet you!

On the last Sunday of each month there is no service as this is ‘Neighbourhood Sunday’ when we take time to reach out to those around us where ever we are, in relational or practical ways, in our networks and neighbourhoods. Checkout our Social Media for any updates about how to get involved with Neighbourhood Sundays.

What to expect?

A Warm Welcome

Whether it’s your 1st or 100th time with us we want you to feel so welcome. We encourage people to stay and chat to get to know others before and after the service.

Worship, Teaching and Prayer

Each time we gather together on Sunday we take time to worship Jesus through singing and hearing an encouraging and relevant message from the Bible. We value the ministry of the Holy Spirit so will leave time and space for prayer during our service. Typically the service will last around 1h - 1h 15mins followed by teas and coffees and more time to chat to each other afterwards.

Kids, Youth & Families

We have provision for kids and youth during our service to help them grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Primary-Age: We have a separate room where activities run for primary-aged children during the service with games, multi-media and more fun! Occasionally the children remain in the main hall during the service and we are delighted to provide some activities at the back for them to enjoy during the service.

Babies & Pre-School: There are toys and space at the back of the main hall for your babies and pre-schoolers to play during the service. You are also so welcome to accompany your wee ones to our Vineyard Kids room where the primary-aged children have their activities. We always set aside some space in the kids’ room with some rugs and more toys for the littlest ones. We are a breastfeeding friendly church.

Youth & Secondary-Age: There are youth packs available including a Youth Bible and doodle sheet which our team will give to you. Youth can sit with their family or head to the back to the kids area if they would like to hang out there. Youth are welcome to join in as a helper at our Vineyards Kids group too if they prefer.
